Înainte de a începe un proiect de macramé este foarte important să cunoașteți câțiva termeni. Acest lucru vă va ajuta în momentul în care urmăriți mai ales tutoriale de macramé în limba engleză. Iată mai jos câteva exemple.

Alternating knots – un nod alternativ reprezintă nodul creat între alte două noduri de pe rîndul anterior.
EN: Alternating knots – an alternating knot represents the knot that lies halfway between the two knots above it.
Noduri alternative/ Alternating knots
Column – două sau mai multe noduri lucrate succesiv prin înșiruiri verticale.
EN: Column – two or more knots worked in sequence.
Sinnets of Square Knots (SKs) and Half Square Knot (HSKs)
Cord – reprezintă o parte dintr-un rope, mai exact atunci când îndoim un rope la jumătate (fie că este atașat sau nu de o baghetă de lemn) obținem practic 2 bucăți de cord. Altfel spus, ropes, reprezintă șnurul tăiat la începutul proiectului, iar cords reprezintă acele bucăți de șnur/sfoară cu care vei realiza nodurile.
EN: Cord – represents either side of a rope that has been folded in half (whether it is attached or not to a dowel). A single rope, once folded in half, yields two cords. In other words, the term „ropes” refers to the entire cut length, while „cords” are what actually used to form knots.

Filler cord (s) – șnururi de umplere în jurul cărora sunt formate nodurile realizate din șnururile de lucru.

In sequence – două sau mai multe noduri lucrate prin înșiruire folosind aceleași cords ca nodul de mai sus, fiind poziționat direct sub acesta.
EN: In sequence – two or more knots worked using the same cords as the knot above, and therefore directly beneath it.
Mounting – de cele mai multe ori acest termen îl veți întâlni în momentul în care vreți să legați un nou șnur, idiferent de suportul de care este atașat. Există numeroase posibilități de a atașa un șnur macramé (voi detalia mai mult într-un post viitor). Un exemplu de atașare șnur macramé este cel prin folosirea nodului Lark`s Head (LHK).
EN: Mounting – you will see this term when you need to incorporate a new rope into a project, regardless of the object to which it is attached. There are many possibilities to attach a macramé cord (I will detail more in a future post). An example of a macramé rope mounting is by using the Lark`s Head Knot (LHK).

Rope – termenul rope în macramé este folosit atunci când se referă la întreaga lungime tăiată a șnurului/sforii sau orice alt fir textil cu care lucrezi (șnur împletit, sfoară etc).
EN: Rope – the term rope in macramé is used when it refers to the entire cut length of any type of knotting material (twine, string etc).
Sinnet – este termenul folosit pentru a defini o coloană de noduri de un singur tip. Cel mai des veți întâlni Sinnet of Square Knots (SKs), Half Square Knot Spiral. Puteți determina numărul de SKs dintr-un sinnet prin numărarea proeminențelor verticale existente pe partea stângă a nodului. În pozele de mai jos este exemplificat termenul de sinnet ce cuprinde 5 SKs, atât noduri orientate spre stânga, cât și noduri orientate spre dreapta.
EN: Sinnet – is the term used to define a column of directly adjacent knots of the same type. Often you will see Sinnet of Square Knots, Half Square Knot Spiral. You can determine the number of SKs in a sinnet by counting the vertical bumps on its left side. In the pictures below is exemplified the term sinnet that contains 5 SKs, both left square knots and right square knots.

this matter to be actually something which I think I would never understand.
It seems too complicated and very broad for me.
